The DIACTMOND project ended in July 2022. The project was evaluated by the RIF as Category A – Excellent. The project activities and objectives have been fully achieved and the results are deemed particularly important<\/em>.\u00a0 We thank all Partners and Collaborators involved for their contribution in this great result.<\/p>\n

INFLAMMATION\/CO<\/strong>AGULATION – DISEASE ACTIVITY MONI<\/strong>TORING DEVICE
\n\"\"<\/strong><\/p>\n

Bio-Rheology, Bio-Fluid Mechanics, Bio-Microfluidics, advanced Data Processing methods and e-Health software systems will be utilised, to develop a prototype point of care system, for the monitoring of inflammation and coagulation in blood.<\/span><\/p>\n

A single untreated finger-prick blood drop will be used for the quantification of inflammation and blood coagulation levels. The information will be transferred to the treating physician through the network for assessment. The outcome of the project will be a low-cost point of care solution for ins<\/span>tantaneous estimation of blood inflammation-coagulation, which can be used as a DIsease ACTivity MONitoring Device.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Program is funded by the Cyprus Research and Innovation Foundation, RESTART\u00a0 Program – Pilar II, Sustainable Research, Technological Development and Innovation Systems – EXCELLENCE HUBS.<\/span><\/p>\n
