Ioannis’ current research is based on synthesis, structural characterization and applications of advanced nanoporous materials. It focus on the use surfactant-assisted supramolecular assembly and hard-templating approach to prepare metal oxide materials with controllable architecture of porous structure and desirable physical and chemical attributes. Also his research continues with the project “Solution-Processed Next Generation Photovoltaics".
He joined the MEP Research Unit in March 2016 after the completion of his postdoctoral research at the Department of Materials Science and Technology, University of Crete, under the supervision of Prof. G. Armatas.
