To submit an abstract please visit the ROSA link: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.actahort.org\/members\/symposiar?nr=721\">https:\/\/www.actahort.org\/members\/symposiar?nr=721<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Submission is strictly limited to a maximum of <strong>one oral<\/strong> and <strong>one poster<\/strong> presentation (<em>or 2 poster presentations<\/em>) per participant.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000\">Concerning oral and poster flash presentations, it is important to respect the format 16:9 (landscape) to avoid any problem.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Specifications about abstract preparation can be found here:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ishs.org\/authors\">https:\/\/www.ishs.org\/authors<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>To submit an abstract, it is mandatory to have a valid ISHS user account.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>If you need to apply for an\u00a0ISHS user account, please read the \u201cGeneral information\u201d below.\u00a0If you already have a valid ISHS\u00a0user account, please proceed directly to the submission.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><strong>Young Minds Awards<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">During each ISHS Symposium\u00a0<strong>two Young Mind Awards<\/strong>\u00a0for\u00a0<strong>junior scientists<\/strong>\u00a0are given, one award for the\u00a0<strong>best oral presentation<\/strong>, and one award for the\u00a0<strong>best poster.\u00a0<\/strong>Students, junior scientists interested in participating in the\u00a0<strong>ISHS Young Minds Award<\/strong>\u00a0should indicate this\u00a0<strong>when submitting their abstract<\/strong>\u00a0by ticking the appropriate box available in the abstract entry page. By indicating his\/her interest in the ISHS Young Mind Award the junior scientist confirms to meet the criteria for participation and agrees to accept the terms and conditions. For more details:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ishs.org\/young-minds-award\">https:\/\/www.ishs.org\/young-minds-award<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Additional awards might be announced at a next stage<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>Abstract submission guidelines:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>We invite abstract submissions for oral and poster presentations, on all topics related to<\/strong> <strong>the<\/strong> <strong>VI International Symposium on Post-harvest Pathology<\/strong><strong> research topics<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify\">\n<li>Abstracts and papers have to be submitted through ROSA \u2013 Responsive Online System for Acta Horticulturae submission and review.<\/li>\n<li>For more information about how to submit your abstract, see\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ishs.org\/sites\/default\/files\/page-documents\/onlinesubmissionauthorsguide.pdf\">http:\/\/www.ishs.org\/sites\/default\/files\/page-documents\/onlinesubmissionauthorsguide.pdf<\/a><\/li>\n<li>The official language is English. Only abstracts written in English will be accepted for review.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Abstracts should not exceed 300 words<\/strong> and be based on original work. Should give full information on the objective, materials and methods and major results obtained.<\/li>\n<li>Abstracts must NOT contain tables, pictures or diagrams.<\/li>\n<li>All abbreviations must be spelled out on first use.<\/li>\n<li>Abstracts should be thoroughly checked for spelling (English) and grammar.<\/li>\n<li>Submission is strictly limited to a maximum of one oral and one poster presentation per person.<\/li>\n<li>The\u00a0<strong>deadline for abstract submission <\/strong>is <span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><strong>Febrouary 28<sup>th<\/sup> 2022<\/strong><\/span>. Abstracts submitted by this date will be considered for evaluation. Authors will be notified of provisional acceptance of abstracts by March 5<sup>th<\/sup> 2022 and for the form of presentation as oral or poster presentation.<\/li>\n<li>To be accepted, abstract presenting authors must be registered and must have paid to attend\u00a0the Symposium, by April 15<sup>th<\/sup>, 2022.<\/li>\n<li>For guidelines and instructions on how to prepare your manuscript for publication in Acta Horticulturae, see\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ishs.org\/authors\">http:\/\/www.ishs.org\/authors<\/a><\/li>\n<li>The deadline for full paper submission is May 20<sup>th <\/sup>2022<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"color: #000000\"><strong>General Information<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify\">\n<li><strong>A valid ISHS user account is required in order to submit the abstract.\u00a0<\/strong>If you don\u2019t have\u00a0an ISHS\u00a0user account\u00a0yet, please proceed to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.actahort.org\/members\/newmember?asc=1\">https:\/\/www.actahort.org\/members\/newmember?asc=1<\/a> first to activate your user account prior to submitting an abstract. You will then be entitled to register to the symposium at the \u2018ISHS member\u2019 rate.<\/li>\n<li>The presenting\u00a0author of each accepted abstract must be registered.<\/li>\n<li>Your abstract will be published in the Abstract Book as submitted. Please ensure you check your data carefully before submitting as changes or additions will not be possible after submission.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Abstracts are limited to 300 words in a single paragraph<\/strong>. The abstract should contain a concise but comprehensive statement of the problem and results. The Scientific Committee will pay a special attention to the scientific quality of research and to the presentation of original data.<\/li>\n<li>Abstracts should be written in English and must specify: the thematic topic to which they are applying as well as the authors preference regarding presentation (oral or poster).<\/li>\n<li>A submitted abstract that does not follow ISHS guidelines, or does not have near-perfect English will be returned to the author for corrections and if not improved and re-submitted by the deadline, the abstract could be rejected. Please refer to the ISHS Authors Guide, online at:\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ishs.org\/authors\">http:\/\/www.ishs.org\/authors<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Authors must submit accepted communication as full papers by\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.actahort.org\/members\/symposiar?nr=721\"><strong><em>clicking here<\/em><\/strong><\/a><strong>.<\/strong> Instructions for the paper guidelines are available in\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ishs.org\/authors\">http:\/\/www.ishs.org\/authors<\/a><\/li>\n<li>After a review process by the Scientific Committee, the selected papers will be published in a special edition of Acta Horticulturae.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Presentation Type<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Abstracts may be submitted and demanded to be presented as oral or poster presentations. Please note, if an overwhelming number of oral presentation submissions are received or based upon the type of the research work and content of the abstract, the Review Committee reserves the right to offer poster presentations for some of these abstracts.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>Terms and Conditions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The submission of an abstract indicates an understanding of the following rules for participation in\u00a0the <strong>VI International Symposium on Post-harvest Pathology<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify\">\n<li>All author(s) approve submitting this work for presentation.<\/li>\n<li>The author(s) transfer(s) all copyright ownership of the named abstract to\u00a0<strong>VI International Symposium on Post-harvest Pathology<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>The author(s) agree(s) to materially confine their presentations to information in the abstract if accepted for presentation.<\/li>\n<li>The presenting\u00a0author should be available to present the abstract if selected for the Symposium program.
