PhD Student

Sergey joined MEP Research Unit on January 2016 for his PhD studies. His research work will include both fundamental and applied studies in solution-processed organic solar cells (OPVs), organic light emitting diodes (OLEDs) and LEDs based on lead halide perovskites.

In 2014 he received his Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering at the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science and Engineering at Cyprus University of Technology (CUT). After his BSc studies he received a scholarship for Masters Studies at the same department for the program MSc in Energy Systems. His master thesis was on the investigation and physical, topographical, optical, structural and wetting characterization of thermal and plasma processed silicon and silicon based materials: silicon dioxide (SiO₂) and poly-dimethylsiloxane (PDMS).
