Dr. Zira is Chief Endocrinologist at the Makarios Hospital in Nicosia, Cyprus, and a designated WHO Consultant on Nutrition and Reproduction. She studied Medicine at the University of Montpellier and at the University Hospital Necker Paris, France. She has been Endocrinologist at Makarios Hospital- Nicosia, since 1982 and she is the Head of the
Endocrinology Department, since 2002. Dr. Zira’s special interests are thyroid, hypophysis and reproduction. Her research focuses on thyroid diseases and endocrine disorders. Dr. Zira has attended numerous international conferences and published a series of technical manuscripts on thyroid diseases in Cyprus.
