Dr. Pantelis Charisiadis

Dr. Pantelis Charisiadis holds B.Sc. in Chemistry, M.Sc. in Analytical Chemistry Techniques & Applications, and Ph.D. in Chemistry from the Department of Chemistry, University of Ioannina, Greece. His knowledge centers around the areas of analytical chemistry, and in particular with various chromatographic and spectroscopic techniques. His research interests are in the development and implementation of methodologies for the isolation and identification of analytes from complex matrices, including those of biological samples. Currently he is a Post-Doctoral fellow at the “Water and Health Laboratory” in Cyprus International Institute for Environmental and Public Health within the Cyprus University of Technology, under the supervision of Ass. Prof. Dr. Konstantinos C. Makris.

Dr. Charisiadis’ expertise is in liquid chromatography (HPLC/DAD), liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC/MCn), gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC/MSn), inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP/MS), nuclear magnetic resonance techniques (NMR) (2D COSY, NOESY, TOCSY, ROESY, HSQC and HMBC), and hyphenated techniques of nuclear magnetic resonance coupled to liquid chromatography and solid phase extraction (LC-SPE-NMR).

Dr. P. Charisiadis has participated in several research programs funded by governmental or private institutes and in various national and international conferences and seminars. He has published several articles in international journals, dealing with chemistry and development and implementation of novel methodologies. He is also experienced in teaching courses to undergraduate students and colleagues in laboratory.
